Laboratory of pathomorphology

The main direction of scientific work of the laboratory is the study of the mechanisms of histogenesis of diseases of the digestive system, improvement and creation of new diagnostic methods.

The subject of study are pathological processes occurring at the tissue, cellular and molecular levels of all organs of the digestive system: histogenesis of fibrosis in CP, pancreatogenic diabetes; the role of NO synthase in the development of experimental pancreatitis and chronic hepatitis; histological features of the microcirculatory tract of the mucous membrane of the gastro-duodenal zone in chronic inflammatory liver disease; histogenesis of lesions of the mucous membrane of the esophagus and stomach, IgG4 + fibrotic diseases of the digestive system.

Various modern and traditional research methods have been introduced in the laboratory: histochemical, histoenzymological, immunohistochemical, morphometric. According to the results, more than 200 works were published, 8 patents were obtained, including: means of diagnosing autoimmune diseases of the liver, means of diagnosing autoimmune diseases of the stomach, means of diagnosing celiac disease.
